Description:

Just perfect: a single fluorite cube with an edge length of 5.2 cm. The crystals exhibit a beautiful purple color on the outside and an intense blue to cyan color on the inside. This color build-up causes the fluorite to change color as the piece is moved. The slightly concave shaped crystal surfaces show a fine parqueted structure with a silky luster due to water etching. Viewed from the side, the fluorite shows very intense colors with beautiful etched structures. This piece is published in The Mineralogical Record - Mineral Magazine Vol.54 No.6.2.
