Knappenloch, Weisseck, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria

This is one of my favorite pieces and maybe the best piece from this find: The specimen is undamaged and shows excellent transparency with intense colors and an edge length of up to 5 cm. The crystal surfaces have a slightly concave shape showing a fine parqueted structure and a silky shine due to water etching. The piece entails excellent three-dimensional crystal growth with a dominant fluorite cube in the lower part. Despite the size of the piece, the transparency of the fluorite is impressive and with backlight, this fluorite dazzles with its true beauty. This piece is published in The Mineralogical Record - Mineral Magazine Vol.54 No.6.2.

Size: 21 x 18 x 10 cm
