Fluorite
WE 22-11, 2020
Location:
Rucksack Cleft, Weisseck, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria
Description:
This piece features a cockscomb-like crystal growth and is crystallized on both sides. The photographed side is particularly beautiful. The fluorite crystals are so intensely intertwined that the individual cubes are no longer clearly recognizable. The surfaces are glossy and curve inwards with a slightly parqueted structure. A second generation of smaller fluorites gives the piece a special character. On this side, the fluorite is gray in many areas. The fluorite appears translucent violet on the upward facing crystal surfaces.
Size: 9.5 x 7 x 4 cm
