Pyrite and Rutile on Matrix

Description:

An absolute top piece from this find. The front of the matrix step is covered with many, partly elongated, pyrite cubes. All pyrite crystals show an excellent luster and the beautiful reddish-golden color. On closer inspection, one can see the dynamics of the piece through the clear rotation of the slate matrix. The pyrite cubes have also oriented themselves to this rotation. In this area the matrix is partially covered with chlorite. Between there are small rutile aggregates. If you turn the piece to the side by 90 degrees, the viewer will be surprised by the excellent rutile crystals that have grown intensely and densely on the matrix.
