DI 2-11, March 2003
Zederhaus, Lungau, Salzburg, Austria
This specimen shows a dominant main crystal and a smaller one in combination with a second generation of quartz crystals, some calcite, and chlorite. The piece is well crystallized all around and undamaged. The quartz crystals show razor-sharp edges, the side surfaces are covered with an inter-grown snowy layer. This layer reaches to the edges of the prisms where it terminates abruptly. The tops are highly lustrous and transparent, revealing some interior phantoms.
