Banded fluorite with brownish zonar coloring, spheres carved out with mechanical grinding tools. In order to preserve the cracked surface, the spheres were most probably treated with diluted sulfuric acid at increased temperature. That is how the cracks or “canal-like immersions” were formed. Regardless of the manual processing, the specimen is impressive with stunning gold-yellow translucency.
