165 Fluorite

Bergmännisch Glück Mine, Frohnau, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany

This beautiful fluorite comes from a very old find from the “Bergmännisch Glück Mine.” It shows an intense honey-yellow color in the center with a multiple bright violet zoning along the edges. This zoning is about 1 cm thick. The backliting gives the piece a brilliantly translucent orange color with lovely pink along the edges. It is also very appealing that the shiny surfaces of the fluorites are very fine structured and show a truly distinctive square texture. Individual matte-shining chalkopyrites, small quartz crystals and small highly lustrous barite crystals are grown on the fluorite. This fluorite displays an earthy character and is features by fantastic play of color! The specimen stands in the position without any support! This specimen is a true marvel!
