Schacht 78, Frohnau, Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany
Exceptional colorful fluorite from „Schacht 78, Erzgebirge, Germany”!
Transparent fluorite with a very well-developed square structure and a fine silky luster. The inner parts of the fluorites feature a beautiful yellow-green color, and the outer edges and faces display a blue-green zoning. This colorful zoning measures up to 2 mm. It is also interesting, that a 2nd generation of transparent violet and blue-green fluorites has grown on one side face. The specimen shows a very nice color with backlit! There are darker spots on the surface and they come from chalcopyrite, which have grown into the fluorite. Bright slightly reddish barite also enriches the specimen and gives a good contrast to the yellow-green fluorites. A unique piece with a very good construction and especially a fantastic play of colors! No significant damage to report.
