Las Salinas, Otume Village, Pisco Province, Ica Department, Peru
Gorgeous blades of orange-golden Selenite measuring to 3.0 cm in size on matrix. The crystals of gypsum are twinned on the top and incredibly gemmy-transparent! The fantastic specimen was found 20 years ago. An exceptional specimen of golden Selenite from Peru, featuring the numerous twinned crystals artfully arranged into the graceful formation pictured. The surfaces are glassy and shine brightly. The specimen stands in the displayed position without support. Through extracting of/from the rock there is one contact on the side of one gypsum crystal, which does not really distract from the beauty of this specimen at all. Excellent views from all sides and in perfect condition. An appealing piece of exceptional aesthetics!
