146 Halite with Atacamite
Lubin Mine, Lubin District, Lower Silesia, Poland
New find from the Lubin Mine: rare mint colored halite stalactites with atacamite. The crystals are interlaced, with a mint colored thread along the stalactites. The faces show a very lustrous and lively square structure. The stalactites are bent in one direction. Because of the mint colored cover of the halite the specimen appears very cold. It reminds of a Futuristic city with its impressive skycraper. A very interesting assembly, hard to photograph, much better in Person.
