130 Selenite

Grosseto Province, Tuscany, Italy

What a work of natural art: two obliquely intergrown crystals with multiple terminations (it looks skeletal) on one side and on the tops of the crystals. Light brown clay inclusions at the multiple terminations yield plastic and three-dimensional crystal structures. The main crystal is very clear and two crystal surfaces are high-gloss with a fine structure that is reminiscent of the structure of falling water from a waterfall. The piece came out of its pocked unharmed and in perfect condition.
