Fluorite with Calcite

Description:

A particularly nice specimen from this find. White calcite grew like a hood on its top looking like snow covering the fluorites. The faces of the cubes show an intense square texture. Although etched and marked with crevices, the faces’ gloss is very good. The specimen shows several colors under UV light: The outer violet layer of the fluorites show the usual violet color and the colorless area (as far as the main part of the fluorites is concerned) show colors from intense red-orange to pink and in between there are patches of lilac. The calcites show a light beige color in UV light.
