031 Fluorite, Calcite

The specimen was mined directly after the passage of clay. A floater with a single crystal in remarkable dimension (about 11 cm on the edges). Usually nearly all specimen show strong etching - not so here, the specimen shows an uncommon high quality of the surface. The faces feature satiny luster. The fluorite have a square texture and shows an intense internal color, with zoning along edges. To the right side it features amazing blue-green color, while the left side appears in strong purple color. Without backlight the crystals show dark violet color. Light calcite crystals are located on the underside of the fluorite! No significant damages to report.
